Where treasure hunters trade, prove and earn. Clues help you decode the message on the back of the map and find the treasure. Your first clue is free when you join the registry; every clue after that is earned by completing a challenge.

Challenge proof, map pieces to verify, or your decoded answer. One form for all three.
Open the form →For a challenge, record a short video (up to two minutes) showing you completed it. For a map piece, take clear photos of the front and back.
Post it on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube (unlisted is fine), or share it from Google Drive, iCloud or Dropbox, then paste the link here. Every submission is reviewed by a person.

Phoenicia Rising is a community of incarcerated artists and scholars who are dedicated to preventing the death of our oceans. We launched this treasure hunt to make the work of saving the oceans a little less glum.
To find the treasure, collect all 10 pieces of the treasure map and decode the message on the back of the map. To collect all 10 pieces of the map, seek out others who have stumbled across a bottle, just like you have. 1000 bottles have been distributed across 5 major cities. No one said this would be easy.
To earn clues, complete challenges. The challenges are all acts of ocean stewardship. If you don't love the ocean, this might not be your kind of treasure hunt.
All who hunt in good faith will be rewarded, but only one will win the actual treasure.
Travel by starlight, watch out for Romans.
Hunt in good faith. All who do will be rewarded. Only one will win the actual treasure.
Nothing illegal, nothing harmful. No challenge will ever ask you to break the law, trespass or put anyone at risk. If it seems to, it isn't ours.
Bottles never go in the water. Leave them in shared places on land. The ocean is the reason we're doing this.
Film with consent. Everyone in a challenge video must agree to be filmed.
Share clues, not spoilers. Working together is the point. Posting the full solution is not.
Answers come through Hunters' Cove. Use the Send it in form. The first correct, verified answer wins. The organizers have the final say.
